This pottery waterbag is a replica of the famous Australian canvas waterbag. It is filled with 750 ml of luscious Riversands golden liqueur muscat.

Major Mitchell is first credited with developing the waterbag. His early model for carrying water was a flour bag lined with mutton fat!

From this version the canvas waterbag evolved. It was commonly carried across the horses neck in front of the saddle by stockmen and women when mustering and droving.
